North Jakarta Mayor Reveals the Name of Chosen City Secretary

According to Basuki, the integrated transportation terminal area is built to ease logistics distribution in the capital city easier as well as to reduce the burden of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport which is getting crowded.

“So, we’re planning to build our own airport in Marunda. What do you think about the name?” asked Basuki to the press.

Basuki’s question was spontaneously responded by a journalist.

“How about Si Pitung, Sir?” replied the journalist abruptly.

“Oh, that’s a good idea, Si Pitung International Airport, cool right?” Basuki answered.

As known, Marunda area is identical with Si Pitung since Si Pitung’s House is located there. Si Pitung’s House is the place where non-active Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo declared himself running for president candidate.

While regarding the location of the international port, Basuki told that it is probably would be located either in Tanjung Priok or Ancol. Thus, the whole project will be carried out in North Jakarta.
